Hi! I'm Melanie and this is my beauty blog.
So, what is "A Desired Beauty"? Almost anything you want it to be! Every woman has beauty goals they desire to achieve, but we usually have trouble getting from that point to making it a reality. I have pretty much always been hair obsessed, but earlier this year I set out on a mission to grow my hair down my back. It has taken my obsession to a whole new level as I stumbled upon this community full of ladies on similar missions to grow long, healthy hair.
Recently, I have found myself answering more questions on the methods of my hair care and styling and realized that I thoroughly enjoy it. So I decided to begin documenting my journey as a way to not only record my progress, but also to help other ladies get from the point of desiring, to learning step-by-step ways of making it their reality. While I do not consider myself an expert, I do think sharing is caring :) whether in success or failure, we can all learn from each other.
The name was inspired by the scripture Psalm 45:11 - "So the King will greatly desire your beauty; Because He is your Lord, worship Him." Because of my faith, my goal everyday is to make decisions that bring God glory and make me pleasing in His sight. Any woman in love wants her man to desire her beauty. I also feel that way about the lover of my soul, Jesus Christ. As such, I consider my style to be a part of my lifestyle of worship. I believe once we learn our inner worth, being fearfully and wonderfully made, and seeing ourselves through His eyes, it is only right that we reflect that beauty on the outside as well.
